An answer to harsh weather conditions to protect plants in hot and cold climates. GFRC and Concrete will allow hot and cold temperatures to transfer from the outside surface to the soil. The larger the transferred temperatures the greater use of water or the greater chance for the root ball to freeze.

Numerous options are available to protect what matters with many styles of precast concrete security planters and bollards. These items are available in many standard styles, with interior steel post cut-out (supplied by others), or can be customized and configured in desired shapes to meet your specific security needs. Security planters and bollards allow you to protect everything from pedestrian areas, shops, restaurants, entrances and more. Our security precast can provide safety to schools, parks, courthouses, military, and industrial facilities to name a few. Numerous styles of benches that accent any hardscape design. All of our benches have a polished/smooth finish texture top and light sandblast finish texture on vertical sides and legs. Recessed areas can be added for plaques or a charging station. Benches are freestanding with no anchoring required. Straight and Radius bench sections allow architects to design interesting configurations in a landscape or park setting. The possibilities are endless. GPS has a standard line of benches to select from or you can also select past custom benches which are part of our standard selection.

Standard length tables are available in 4, 6, and 8-foot lengths. All tables have a polished/smooth finish texture tabletops and seats with light sandblast finish texture on vertical sides and legs. Recessed areas can be built into tabletops to inlay plaques, checker/chess boards, and other games. Logos can also be cut in the tabletop. Tables come in one piece, need no assembly, and can be set on any surface.

Standard and custom wall copings for all types of walls is produced in many different widths and thicknesses depending on the design standards. We can produce straight, radius or elliptical shapes. Precast Concrete is “wet” cast and therefore all wall copings have internal rebar built in to shape for structural integrity. Copings are high quality, integrally colored, and no maintenance.

Standard open, closed, and long span riser stair treads are available in flat, straight and radius profiles. We can incorporate starter nosing assemblies (by others), or integral detectable warning stripe to match tread style and color. Standard finish textures used on stair treads is either light sandblast or acid-wash. Landings, matching treads in color and texture, are provided per requirements of project. We can provide it all.

Standard countertops are usually 2” to 3” thick and are used for outdoor grill areas, tables, bars, and other locations found in amenity areas. Waterfall edges can be done as well, and countertops have a polished/smooth finish texture. Food borne sealers can be applied. Countertops are sturdy, resist the elements, and provide a durable cutting and food preparation area.

Precast concrete is reinforced with steel and combines the benefits of the high durability, low maintenance, excellent fire resistance and energy efficiency. Although heavier than the other materials we manufacture, sometimes weight is a good thing, especially when it comes to a landscape planter. The precast planter is heavy and will not be stolen, moved by high winds, etc. Specific colors can be achieved through varying sands, aggregates, and pigments. Precast is the most cost-effective material when weight is not a factor. We maintain a comprehensive quality control process to assure the industries strictest standards are met. GFRC is concrete that uses glass fibers for reinforcement instead of steel. It is typically sprayed in a thin section around 1/2″ to 3/4″ thick. Since the fibers cannot rust like steel, there is no need for a protective concrete cover thickness to prevent rusting. With the thin, hollow construction of GFRC products, the weight is considerably less than traditional precast concrete. GFRC is a composite of cement, glass fibers, aggregates, and polymers. GFRC is the ideal product where a light, strong, weather resistant, and fire-retardant material is required.

High Compression Strength

As an engineered material, the properties of GFRC can vary depending upon mix design, glass content and production methods. Glass fiber is used in quality GFRC. Generally, the higher the fiber content, the higher the strength. A typical mix with 5% glass fiber has a compression strength of 6,000 to 8,000 psi.

GFRC Durability

Glass fiber reinforced concrete has been tested both by accelerated aging tests in the laboratory and in real life installations. GFRC can be expected to last as long as precast concrete. In many environments, as when exposed to salt spray or high moisture, the GFRC can be expected to perform better, as there is no steel reinforcement to corrode. Since the surface of GFRC is a portland cement concrete, it weathers like quality architectural precast concrete. It is less susceptible to weather erosion and more freeze thaw resistant than conventional concrete. GFRC fares well in natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods, fires, and earthquakes.

Wide Variety of Trim Profiles

It is lightweight and is used extensively for various trim profiles, flats, squares, and rectangles. Trim profiles with sweeping curves, dramatic angles, spheres, domes, waves, intricate detail, and complex geometries can be produced in GFRC along with replication of historical details.

IGFRC is a highly engineered and tested concrete coating that is cast 1/2″ thick over an EPS core to create a revolutionary lightweight product. Because IGFRC profiles are 30% the weight of cast stone or precast concrete, there is substantial savings in reducing steel required in the wall cavity. Additional savings are generated from connection details, and reduction of additional framing required by traditional precast.

IGFRC profiles offer the aesthetic of limestone, precast or GFRC while offering cost savings, and simplified connection details. With the durability of precast, the flexibility of GFRC, and extremely low water absorption characteristics, IGFRC is an excellent alternative to create natural stone appearances on all types of construction.

By utilizing metal track and adhesive fastening systems, taking weight off the building and thus lowering deflection requirements in the wall cavity, IGFRC profiles can result in significant overall project savings. IGFRC Profiles also install faster, using less equipment and manpower, with less trade coordination on the project. IGFRC also adds an R value at no additional cost.
